Amanda Bynes Attacks Lance Bass for Reaching Out to Her
Celebrity

Lance says in a radio show that he hopes Amanda will get the help she needs, but the troubled starlet reacts harshly, calling him 'an ugly ex-boyband member with no talent or career.'

AceShowbiz - Lance Bass, who became friends with Amanda Bynes after working in a movie together, has stated that he is worried about her mental health. The troubled actress, however, seems to be offended with his statement.

"I ignored Lance Bass on twitter and now he is saying I have a mental illness. Sorry you're an ugly ex-boyband member w/ no talent or career. I haven't spoken to Lance Bass in 11 years. To say I have a mental illness out of nowhere makes me lash out! You're making me crazy!" she wrote on Thursday, May 30.

The former NSYNC member responded to the harsh words in two Twitter posts, "Ouch- The Amanda I know would never had said something like this to me- either this is a fake person or she really does have a mental illness. Way too sad. I reached out- all i can do." He wrote in another post, "Now I really don't think this is Amanda- we shot Lovewrecked together 7 years ago and she was just at my bday party 3 years ago. Hmmm 11??"

The Twitter war started after Lance stopped by Mark and Mercedes radio show on Wednesday, May 29, and made a comment about his troubled friend. "It's one of those situations where obviously there's some mental problems there and she's not able to see that. We all are [able to see it]. No one is able to get to her. I'm actually really scared for her, and I hope someone is able to get to her to give her the help she needs," Lance said.

Jaymes Vaughan, who was in the radio show with Lance and James Davis, apologized for the Twitter drama, saying that the hosts "are very sorry for any pain this may have caused Amanda or Lance," because the "Out of Sync" author called in as a part of the radio segment to help children cancer patients in St. Jude Children's Research Hospital. Jaymes also explained that he, James and Lance "were not aware this topic would be addressed" in the radio show.
