The country crooner has a few months left to finish the follow-up to his 2010-released album 'Get Closer'.

AceShowbiz - New Zealand-born Australian country music singer Keith Urban has just announced the September 10 release date of his forthcoming eighth studio album "Fuse", channeling the attention he's been getting lately to good use, focusing it more on his music and less on his stint as a judge on "American Idol". The 45-year-old musician only has a few months to go to make it in time for his new album's due date and he's wasting no time to get it out in the press and to his eagerly-awaiting fans.

For his much-anticipated follow-up album to "Get Closer" released back in 2010, Urban enlists anew his longtime producer Dann Huff and kick starts new partnerships with Eric Church and Little Big Town record producer Jay Joyce. He also signs up Taylor Swift collaborator Nathan Chapman and rocker Butch Walker for the new project.

"It's just been really creatively liberating to me," Urban said about his newfound opportunity to work with such remarkable musicians. "I love collaborating. It's the thing I've always loved doing, whether it's writing or performing or being in the studio, I love the collaborative process. I think finding people's strengths is the thing I love the most."

But an interview with Keith Urban will not be complete without asking him whether he will be back to judge another season of "Idol", and so the season twelve judge with the sunny disposition obliged with an honest "I have no official information of anything." He reassured "Idol" followers that the producers would eventually figure it out what they want to do with the show next year, confidently saying, "They always pull it together."
