The South Korean sensation gets negative response when singing his chart-topping song during half-time performance at Italian Cup Final.

AceShowbiz - PSY's performance during the half-time show at the Italian Cup Final apparently didn't amuse soccer fans. The South Korean rapper and singer, who performed his 2012 hit song "Gangnam Style", got booed by thousands who packed the stadium to watch the match between Roma and Lazio last Sunday, May 26.

Organizers of the event reportedly turned the volume up to drown out the boos. The 35-year-old singer looked embarrassed by the negative response, but he managed to finish his song and thank the crowd for the opportunity to perform at the big game. It is unclear if the boos were related to racism or if the spectators simply disliked the song.

On the same day PSY had a hard time in Italy, a person who looked like him appeared at Monaco Grand Prix and was spotted enjoying the VIP festivities. He almost fooled celebrities like Amanda Holden and David Hasselhoff. The two celebs took some pictures with the fake PSY, but both expressed their uncertainty.

Holden tweeted a photo of her with the PSY look-alike and said, "Not sure if this guy is kosher?! Rumors circulating he was a fake? What do YOU think?!" Hasselhoff was more sure. Along with a picture of him, his girlfriend and the impersonator, the former "Baywatch" star tweeted, "Was that really PSY ? I think not!!"

The fake PSY also appeared at the 2013 Cannes Film Festival last week. The real PSY, who was miles away in Singapore, confirmed that the man at the film festival was not him. He tweeted the photo of the impersonator and said, "Seems like there's another ME at cannes...say Hi to him."
