Evan Peters of 'American Horror Story' Is Quicksilver in 'X-Men: Days of Future Past'

The 'Adult World' actor will act opposite Hugh Jackman, Jennifer Lawrence and Halle Berry in the upcoming 'X-Men' film from director Bryan Singer.

Before Quicksilver makes a grand appearance in "The Avengers 2", he apparently will be seen in "" first. Director Bryan Singer has officially confirmed the news through his Twitter account, stating that "" star is tapped to take on the role of the speedy hero.

"Thrilled to say #EvanPeters is joining #XMen #DaysOfFuturePast as #Quicksilver," so Singer announces the arrival of Peters in the cast ensemble of the latest "X-Men" film. The boyfriend of will co-star the pic alongside , , and .

Before Peters, has been cast for an unspecified role. It is rumored that Dinklage will be introduced as Bolivar Trask, the creator of the anti-mutant Sentinels. Both Singer and the actor, however, have kept silence on it.

As previously reported, Quicksilver will be featured alongside his sister Scarlet Witch in "The Avengers 2". Before being a part of The Avengers, the children of Magneto first appear in the X-Men mythology as villains.

"They had a rough beginning. They're interesting to me because they sort of represent the part of the world that wouldn't necessarily agree with The Avengers," director Joss Whedon told IGN. "So they're not there to make things easier. I'm not putting any characters in the movie that will make things easier."

Rumored to eventually be cast as Scarlet Witch, has recently expressed her interest in playing the character. "I have heard about it and yes, I would. Yeah, of course I would. I love Joss and I love those films," Ronan tells The Mary Sue.

The "" actress then continues saying, "I love his handle on them and how he portrayed these kinds of superheroes. I think it's very different from what anyone else has done. So yeah, I'd love to be in it."

"Days of Future Past" will arrive in theaters nationwide on July 18, 2014, while "Avengers 2" is set for a May 1, 2015 release.
