Chris Brown's Neighbors Complain of His Monster Graffiti

The former boyfriend of Rihanna is in trouble for painting goblin-like creatures on his private properties and is fined $376 for violating city code.

AceShowbiz - Chris Brown is feuding with his neighbors yet again. People living next door to the R&B singer reportedly have been complaining of the graffiti painted on the side of his four-story home. While he might call it an expression of art, his neighbors thought it was an eyesore.

The mural in question depicts sharp-toothed, large-eyed ghostly creatures. According to Patti Negri, president of the Hollywood Dell Civic Association, she received dozen phone calls and emails from people in the community claiming that the monster painting scared local children.

"There are lots of babies, lots of children, and they're literally frightened. It's like devils on the wall - big scary eyes and big scary teeth, and just the whole vibe is not what we're used to," Negri told LA Times.

Not only does the graffiti create disharmony in the neighborhood but it is also against a city ordinance since it's illegal to create murals on most private properties. As a result, the former boyfriend of Rihanna has been fined $376 for unpermitted and excessive signage.

"I know a $300 fine is probably pocket change. But hopefully and maybe, he'll just see the light and decide to be a good neighbor," Negri said. "We're happy to have him - if he just tones it down."

Chris is ordered to remove the graffiti within 30 days, but he is not budging. "They are trying to suspend the 1st Amendment," said his lawyer Mark Geragos.

The attorney says it's the neighbors who are harassing his client. "I'm scared of neighborhood busybodies like this," he said. "They've called animal control. They have sicced parking [enforcement] on him, and now they reached the heights of ridiculousness here. Shame on them."

Chris did, in the past, receive complaints some of which over his wild house parties, but he's not the only celebrity who didn't get along with his neighbors. People living in the gated community where Justin Bieber's house is located complained of the teen's alleged speeding, while Lindsay Lohan's neighbors claimed endless paparazzi had caused disturbance.

As for complaint of disturbing painting on private properties, Madonna got some in the 1990s. The Material Girl drew protests when she painted her Hollywood Hills home in red and yellow stripes.
