The 'Perception' star and her husband, the 'Vampire Diaries' actor, will welcome their first child this fall.

AceShowbiz - Rachael Leigh Cook and husband Daniel Gillies are expecting their first baby, the couple confirms to Us Weekly. Cook, who is currently filming the second season of "Perception", tells the magazine, "I've been hiding my rapidly growing bump while shooting but this kiddo is vying for screen time."
The 33-year-old actress who plays special agent Kate Moretti on the TNT show continues, "We clearly have a future actor on our hands." Gillies adds, "A Lot of people are asking whether I'd prefer a boy or a girl. In truth, it doesn't matter to me -I just can't wait to meet little Keanu Robocop."
Cook and Gillies' baby news isn't the only happy news to share. Gillies' longtime project which he directed and produced, "Broken Kingdom", will premiere on May 15 on Showtime. The film stars Gillies, Cook, Kandyse McClure, Darren Le Gallo and Seymour Cassel.
Gillies is also set to star in a full season of "The Vampire Diaries" spin-off, "The Originals", after its backdoor pilot aired last April 25. On the new series, the 37-year-old actor will reprise his role as Elijah Mikaelson alongside Joseph Morgan, Claire Holt and Phoebe Tonkin.
