The Loki depicter in 'Thor' and 'The Avengers' might land a lead role in the remake of the Alex Proyas-directed film, which starred the late Brandon Lee.

AceShowbiz - Tom Hiddleston, best known for his portrayal of Thor's nemesis Loki in "The Avengers" and "Thor", is reportedly approached by Relativity Media to join the studio's remake of "The Crow". The English actor is in early talks to play the lead character Eric Draven.
Based on the 1989 comic book of the same name by James O'Barr, "The Crow" follows rock musician Eric Draven, who rises from the grave to take revenge on the thugs, who killed him and his fiancee. Alex Proyas directed an adaptation of the comic in 1994 with the late Brandon Lee as the lead actor.
It is reported that Hiddleston had dinner with producers and even sent them a make-up test that he did by himself in London. The "Midnight in Paris" actor will also undergo a proper make-up test the next days to ensure fans that his appearance as the titular character is indeed convincing.
Spanish director F. Javier Gutierrez will serve as the helmer of the film, which is penned by Jesse Wigutow. The production of the film is expected to begin this fall.
Before Hiddleston, "Filth" actor James McAvoy was rumored to land a lead role in the film. "Silver Linings Playbook" star Bradley Cooper was reportedly mentioned to be offered the role as well.
