Neither director Michael Bay nor actor Mark Wahlberg is included in the judging panel of the competition dubbed 'Transformers 4 Chinese Actor Talent Search'.

AceShowbiz - As part of the partnership deal with China Movie Channel and Jiaflix Enterprises, "Transformers 4" will conduct a casting call to find aspiring Chinese actors to play alongside star Mark Wahlberg. The audition is apparently in the form of reality TV show named "Transformers 4 Chinese Actor Talent Search".
Set to air in China this June, the talent show will be open to profesionals and amateurs over the age of 18. Two representatives of each category will be given roles to join "a number of talented Chinese actors and actresses" in the Michael Bay-directed film.
Bay and Wahlberg apparently do not serve as the judges of the competition. Instead, the contestants will be judged by "Transformers" producer Lorenzo DiBonaventura, casting director Denise Chamian, chairman of Jiaflix Sid Gianis and Paramount's marketing and distribution chief Megan Colligan.
Gianis, who was previously the president of Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences, has announced that the show is not only intended to give talented actors in China opportunities to "be appearing in a major motion picture," but also to provide "another glimpse of the Chinese people, the Chinese culture and China itself."
The fourth installment of the robot-themed film series will take place four years after the events in "Transformers: Dark of the Moon" and is said to be darker than its predecessors. Also starring Stanley Tucci and Nicola Peltz, the film is set to be released on June 27, 2014 in the United States.
