The Cuban-American rapper defends Jay-Z, educates about the colorful past between the U.S. and the Caribbean nation.

After Roc Nation mogul defended his Cuba trip with wife through his new song "Open Letter", Miami pop rapper also comes to the defense of Jay-Z. The 32-year-old entertainer takes the and -powered instrumentals and puts his own lyrics into the song to take the side of Jay-Z and swipe at politicians questioning the trip to the Communist island nation.

"Question of the night, would they have messed with Mr. Carter if he was white?" Pitbull raps in his "Open Letter" freestyle. He adds further, directing his assault on lawmakers, "Politicians love to hate you/but then run away when it's time to debate you."

"Happy fifth year anniversary, Jay and Bey. Don't worry, it's on me," the "Feel This Moment" rapper said, as he defended the superstar couple, who were initially criticized for their Cuba trip as politicians readily assumed it was for mere tourism, as the trip coincided with the pair's 5th wedding anniversary. "I'm cuban american i was born politically incorrect here is my open letter," Pitbull tweeted as he explained why he was reacting to the recent controversy.

Pitbull also took it as an opportunity to educate listeners about the ugly history between democratic America and the communist Caribbean country, referencing the Bay of Pig invasion of 1961, the 1962 Cuban Missile Crisis and in more recent years, the controversial turnover of 7-year-old refugee Elian Gonzalez to Cuba in 2000. He wrote, "It's the freedom that we rap for...It's the freedom that we die for. C-U-B-A, hope to see you free one day."
