Katherine Thurston allegedly asked the 'Les Miserables' actor to marry her before she charged him with an electric razor.

AceShowbiz - Katherine Thurston, the woman who chased Hugh Jackman with an electric razor full of body hair, appeared in court for the first time Sunday, April 14 after being arrested for stalking. The 47-year-old woman from California told police she wanted to be the actor's second wife.

"I want to marry him," she told NYPD Detective Frank Francisco as quoted by New York Daily News. "This is not against the law. It is not against the law to have two wives." As for the razor she was carrying, she might have wanted to shave Jackman as she told the cop, "I hated him having those whiskers."

Her statement matched the "The Wolverine" hunk's previous testimony. He told law enforcement officer that she was already waiting for him outside when he arrived at a gym in the West Village, New York City Saturday morning, April 13. "We're going to get married, right?" she told him.

The woman allegedly slipped past the front desk, following the Australian thesp while crying and professing her love for him. She reached into her pants and grabbed an electric razor full of hair clippings, but she was stopped by a gym employee before reaching the Australian hunk.

"The razor fell out of her hands when I stepped in between them," Mike Castle, a trainer at Gotham Gym, said of what happened next. The actor himself "was more alarmed than scared" fearing that she would grab a weapon from her pants, publicist Alan Nierob told CNN Sunday.

Jackman allegedly asked Thurston not to touch him. She left before police came on the scene but she was later apprehended on the street a couple blocks away. The woman who claimed that she began sending emails to the actor about a year ago was held on $15,000 bail.

The "Les Miserables" actor suspected that Thurston had been stalking him for some time. He said she went to his seven-year-old daughter's elementary school in Manhattan and confronted his wife Deborra-Lee Furness outside his home in the West Village, "I'm going to marry your husband."

She was arraigned in Manhattan Criminal Court on misdemeanor charges of menacing, stalking, harassment and trespassing. She is additionally charged with criminal possession of a weapon for having the razor when she stalked her idol over the weekend.

"I suppose for me the primary concern is my family, obviously," the actor told CBS New York. "But, you know, here's a woman who obviously needs help, so I just hope she gets the help she needs." He added, "I'm very appreciative of what the DA is doing."
