The country singer reacts to the controversy that his new song with rapper LL Cool J has sparked online.

AceShowbiz - Country crooner Brad Paisley has posted a series of tweets to address the criticism that his new country-rap song collaboration with LL Cool J has drawn from the online community when it was posted online earlier this week. The 40-year-old singer teamed up with the rapper to sing about the issue of racism on the track "Accidental Racist", a cut off Paisley's newly-released album "Wheelhouse".

As Twitter users started to react to the new single, calling it inappropriate and ignorant, Paisley turned to the microblogging site to address the criticisms. He said he had hoped that when fans got a copy of his album, it "triggers emotions" of "joy, heartache, triumph, surprise" in contrast to the negative publicity that the song had managed to trigger for the "Whiskey Lullaby" singer.

On his next Twitter message, Paisley revealed how he would want his new music to affect its listeners. He wrote, "I hope the album rocks you, soothes you, raises questions, answers, evokes feelings." He may have accomplished the raising questions part of his goal, but it was more like raising eyebrows that his track had done thus far.

Finally, Paisley tweeted, "I wouldn't change a thing. This is a record meant to be FAR from easy listening. But fun. Like life." He is standing by the song he first decided to pull off despite knowing beforehand that it would most probably elicit some very strong opinions.
