The other nominees include Tiger Woods, Obama's campaign, Charlize Theron, Conan O'Brien, Neil Patrick Harris, 'The Hunger Games' and 'The Walking Dead'.

AceShowbiz - Justin Bieber, Lena Dunham, Tom Hanks and Lady GaGa score nominations at Webby Awards or the "internet's highest honor" as New York Times calls it. They are joined on the list for the 17th annual Webby battle by the likes of Tiger Woods, Alec Baldwin, Charlize Theron, Conan O'Brien and Jerry Seinfeld.

Continuing its tradition to honor excellence on the internet including websites, online video and social media, apps and interactive Internet advertising, this year's Webby places Bieber's "Girlfriend" fragrance launch in the running to becoming the best Interactive Advertising & Media in Social Media Campaign category against Obama's campaign and Nike Barbershop.

Dunham, meanwhile, picks up two nominations at the 2013 Webbys, one for Individual Performance in an Online Film & Video for her cheeky "First Time" ad supporting Obama along with Theron's Funny or Die's video, and the other for Social Content and Marketing category along with HBO Entertainment for comedy series "Girls", which she writes and stars in.

"Tom Hanks' Electric City" is up for Drama in Online Film & Video, while "Comedians in Cars Getting Coffee" which features Seinfeld, Baldwin, Ricky Gervais and Larry David scores three nods in Online Film & Video including the Long Form or Series category with Neil Patrick Harris' "Puppet Dreams" and O'Brien's "Clueless Gamer and Serious Jibber Jabber".

"GaGa's Workshop" created for New York store Barneys is listed in the Social category, and "Tiger Woods: My Swing, Tiger Woods Foundation" is among the nominees in Mobile & Apps. Other nominees included "The Walking Dead" (3 nods in online content and mobile or apps categories) and "The Hunger Games: Capitol Tour" (Website for Movie and Film category).

The winners will be honored at a ceremony in New York City, where they will deliver five-word speeches in the tradition of past victors like Al Gore ("Please don't recount this vote"), Jimmy Fallon ("Thank God Conan got promoted") and Anna Wintour ("Sometimes, Geeks Can Be Chic"). The show will be broadcast online on May 22.

"Every year we are constantly amazed by the innovations Webby Nominees push forward and this year is no exception," said David-Michel Davies, Executive Director of The Webby Awards. "This year's nominees reflect a new personal and pervasive Internet where friends and people we trust are our curators and mobile devices stretch the network into the most discreet places in our lives. It is truly an Internet Made by everyone, accessed from anywhere."

Academy members like Arianna Huffington, Instagram founder Kevin Systrom and musician David Bowie will help determine the Webby victors, while public fans are invited to vote the winner of The Webby People's Voice Awards. Voting has started and will remain open until April 25. Last year, over 2 million votes were received, setting a Webby Awards record.
