The rapper-turned-reggae artist's new track with the pop rock songstress is the first of two collaborations they will have this year.

AceShowbiz - Just a day after he premiered his "No Guns Allowed" music video, Snoop Lion a.k.a Snoop Dogg immediately followed it up with the release of his much-anticipated collaboration with pop superstar Miley Cyrus. Entitled "Ashtrays and Heartbreaks", the new track will be featured in the 41-year-old rapper-turned-reggae artist's forthcoming album "Reincarnated" set to released on April 23.

In the four-minute long new song, the two A-list artists sing about loved ones who have passed on, where Snoop does the verses and Cyrus lends her pop sound to the hook as they "raise a glass to the memories and set 'em free and fill up all those ashtrays." The record's producer, Major Lazer's Diplo, revealed Snoop apparently "likes to have the female backing vocals" in his tracks.

Doing additional back-up vocals on the single is Angela Hunte, one of the principal songwriters in Snoop's new reggae album. Like in "No Guns Allowed", Snoop enlists the percussion-playing skills of The Police's drummer Stewart Copeland for the Ariel Rechtshaid and Dre Skull co-produced track.

"Ashtrays and Heartbreaks" is only the first of two tracks that Snoop and Cyrus will be teaming up on this year. The 20-year-old singer has confirmed that the newly "reincarnated" reggae man would also sing on the lead single off her forthcoming album when it comes out this year, which Cyrus previously touted would be "the biggest record I've ever had."
