Adam Levine and his band are teaming up with the American Idol for the Honda Civic tour from August to October.

AceShowbiz - Pop rock band Maroon 5 through its frontman Adam Levine has announced that they are touring anew, after their highly successful "Overexposed" tour. This time, they're hooking up with first-ever "American Idol" winner Kelly Clarkson to embark on their Honda Civic Tour this summer.

Playing across the U.S. and once in Toronto, Canada, Maroon 5 and Clarkson will kick off their tour on August 1 at the Verizon Wireless Amphitheatre in St. Louis, Missouri. The pop rock collaboration will then perform in 30 other shows, culminating on October 5 at the Sleep Train Ampitheatre in San Diego, California.

Headlined last year by Linkin Park and Incubus, this year's forthcoming Honda Civic Tour is its 12th annual iteration. Serving as front acts for the pop superstars are Maroon 5's keyboardist PJ Morton, female singer Rozzi Crane, and "The Voice" alum Tony Lucca, all of whom will be opening on selected dates.

"Please come to summer tour. Such an amazing vibe, weather is good. It's always the most fun," Levine said in a specially made clip just for the big announcement.

The "Voice" mentor and his four other band mates are riding high off the success of their 2012 album "Overexposed" that features the hits "One More Night" and "Payphone". Clarkson also has her own slew of hits like "Stronger (What Doesn't Kill You)", "Dark Side" and the most recent "Catch My Breath" from her "Greatest Hits - Chapter 1" compilation.
