Karolina Wydra, who played the green card wife of Dr. Gregory House, will portray a strong and possibly dangerous vampire who is at the same level of Bill and Eric.

AceShowbiz - "True Blood" has added another actress to its season 6 cast. The popular supernatural drama series casts former "House M.D." star Karolina Wydra in a recurring role of Violet, who is described as "a strong, sexy, possibly dangerous vampire on par with the Eric Northmans and Bill Comptons of the world," TVLine reports.

A Polish-American actress and model, Wydra is best known for playing Dominika Petrova%, the green card wife of Hugh Laurie's Dr. Gregory House on the medical drama series. She has also appeared in an episode of "Law & Order: Criminal Intent" and 2011's drama comedy "Crazy, Stupid, Love.". She also lands a role in upcoming sci-fi film "Europa Report".

"True Blood", which is currently filming its sixth season, has recently replaced Mark Hudis with Brian Buckner as the showrunner. The new season is expected to premiere June on HBO.

In addition to Wydra, the show will feature other new cast members including Rutger Hauer (as a sinister guy who has mysterious ties to Sookie and Jason), Robert Kazinsky (as new Fae love interest to Sookie), Arliss Howard (as Louisiana Governor Truman Burrell), Jurnee Smollett-Bell (as do-gooder Nicole) and Amelia Rose Blaire (as Burrell's daughter).
