March 27, 2013, 2:07 am GMT

Breezy also talks about learning from his mistakes, responding to haters, fighting with a valet attendant, and deleting Instagram.

Chris Brown is finally willing to discuss his infamous altercation with Rihanna, now that they are back on together. He once threw tantrum on "Good Morning America" when the host tried to broach the subject, but now he's calm and collected when talking about it with Ryan Seacrest on a radio interview.

Breezy says he "didn't know" if RiRi was going to forgive him, and now that she has, he feels "eternally grateful and thankful." He calls the incident "a learning step" for him. He explains, "You can lose it all. And I'm not just saying fame or stardom because that's not what it's about. I'm talking about dignity [and] integrity."

He furthermore admits it's true that he was "arrogant and definitely hotheaded" back then but it's not an excuse to do what he did. "I think for me that at age 18, 19 I was capable of writing and producing songs, so I'm also capable of making the right choices. So I think it's about a learning process now," he states.

Breezy is aware that many are still unable to look past his indiscretions towards Rihanna. "I just tried my best to be the best man I could be over the years and just show her how remorseful and sorry I was for the incident and that time was probably the worst part of my life," he says, adding that he and RiRi are now in a better place.

He continues, "People are entitled to their opinions. I can't go around blaming. It's all about my responsibility and me growing up as a man. So I think now that I'm becoming older, and trying to mature in this life under the public eye at all times, I have to focus on doing the right thing and being more of a humble individual."

The R&B singer also addresses his heated argument with a valet attendant over a $10 charge. "By all means, I'm a great tipper. Ten dollars is not a problem," he says, before revealing something that was not shown on the video, "I gave the man $100 dollars. We had two cars. It's five dollar parking. Okay, do the math."

He continues recounting the incident that was caught on camera and went viral, "So when we came out he was like, 'You know what? We need $20 for each car.' And I said, 'Sir, I just gave you $100.' So he was like, 'No, no we need $10.' So he was just going around trying to see if he could get more money and I was like, 'no,' so by that time it was a situation."

He additionally talks about social media. "Both [are a blessing and a curse]...for me now I'm not as hands on as I used to be. I totally deleted my Instagram and I get on Twitter every now and then to touch base with my fans because I love my fans. But sometimes when you're a young kid and you have impulsive techniques you kind of get like, 'Arghhh! I can't stand you.' People love [Twitter wars], they eat it up, so I'd rather not feed them that."

While RiRi is on tour, Breezy is getting ready for his next studio album.
