TV

The 'Two for the Road' actor, who was said stopping by just for a visit on the first day of shooting, was actually working on the set, reprising his role as teacher Mr. Feeny.

AceShowbiz - William Daniels is confirmed to join the cast of the comedy pilot "Girl Meets World". Daniels will reprise his role as Cory and Topanga's beloved teacher, Mr. Feeny. Even though it is not clear how Daniel's character gets into the plot of the "Boy Meets World" spin-off, it is predicted that Mr. Feeny will be back working at the school now attended by Cory and Topanga's children.

The arrival of Daniels in the cast ensemble is quite a surprise. Spotted on the pilot's set with several "Boy Meets World" members including Rider Strong, Will Friedle, and Maitland Ward Baxter, a rep for the Disney Channel initially said that they all only stopped by to see the filming of the pilot.

Michael Jacobs, the creator of "Boy Meets World" and its spin-off, hints that there is a possibility that other former cast members can also be featured. "We sat down with them and talked about what their roles on the show may be," Jacobs tells The Hollywood Reporter about the original "Boy Meets World" cast.

Jacobs then adds, "Whoever wants to be part of this show will be and whoever wants to move on will. The most important thing is to see what the show is and then see what their part in it will be. Will Friedle said, 'I will be at every taping.' Everybody is quite attached to it. The bottom line is: Will Rider [Strong] or Will be a cast member? Will they put in appearances? Maybe, maybe not. We'll see."
