Justin Bieber Fires Back at Club, Blames 'Overly Aggressive Dummies' for 'Worst Birthday'
Justin Bieber broke silence after his "worst birthday" tweet which was reportedly caused by a confrontation with security guards at Cirque du Soir. The singer who turned 19 years old on March 1 denied rumors that he threw a fit because his friends including Jaden Smith were denied entry to the London club where he celebrated his turning age.
"The funny moment when people believe I brought underage people to a club.. U think Will [Smith] is letting his 14 year old [son Jaden Smith] in a club, I don't think so," he wrote on Instagram. "2nd I love how the club wanted to give the press another reason to why we didn't stay at their weak a** club so they wouldn't look bad for me walking in and right back out."
"I said [my] 'worst bday' but that was due to dummies pushing over my fans and being overly aggressive," the Canadian heartthrob continued. "Btw it wasn't the worst bday cuz all my friends from back home flew in I was just mad in the moment."
He added on Twitter, "Sometimes u just wanna vent and not be quiet. I love my fans though. Just gonna chill with friends. London shows this week." He went on in a series of messages, "It ain't always easy but is what it is. Gonna stay focused. Focused on 4 sold out shows at the O2 this week in London. #BELIEVEtour."
The Cirque threw a circus-themed party with all waiters wearing "Happy Birthday Justin" t-shirts Friday night, but the celebration which was attended by his rumored new girlfriend Ella-Paige Roberts Clarke was cut short when he stormed out of his own party. Words ran rampant that his mood turned sour after his friends were turned away due to age policy.
"We, like all clubs in London, operate a strict age policy," Cirque's rep said in a statement. "As a few of the members of the party were under the suitable age of 18, the security team at Cirque Du Soir, London, clearly explained this rule and refused entry to the club for anyone who could not provide us with adequate proof of age."
"We are very sorry, and understand it's his birthday, but our hands are tied with local authorities and rules we need to follow as club to keep our license. We clearly didn't want to give him the 'worst birthday.' He is a friend and previously was always welcomed with open arms," the spokesperson concluded.
Bieber's friends, however, blamed paparazzi for ruining his day. Ryan Butler tweeted, "This is unbelievable. Can't even have fun on his birthday. Paparazzi are absolute d**kheads here." Alfredo Flores added, "I mean... I have no words. Paparazzi are disgusting. Wont even allow a 19 year old enjoy his birthday. Hurting fans? Makes no sense #ashame."
