Mama June defends her daughter's attempt to help her friend in selling the cookies although the organization has asked Honey Boo Boo to remove her online campaign.

AceShowbiz - June Shannon still cannot understand the Girl Scout organization's reaction to her daughter Honey Boo Boo's attempt to sell the iconic Girl Scout treats, Samos and Thin Mints cookies, on Facebook. According to her, what her daughter has done is not something that can cause a big fuss.

"If I can raise more money for a troop, whoever they are, especially in an area where they don't get a lot of money, and parents can't afford to buy a ton of cookies, why wouldn't I help?" she argued. June claimed their innocence by determinedly saying, "We're doing nothing wrong."

The campaign was already taken down as requested, but it will not stop the 7-year-old TLC star, whose real name is Alana Thompson, from selling it since it is all for her friend. Up to now, 400 boxes have been sold and the numbers will keep on going up.

Previously, Honey Boo Boo took advantage of her popularity to sell Girl Scout cookies at $3.50 per box through her Facebook page. She did not do it for herself. In fact, all boxes of cookies she has sold were apparently meant to help out a Girl Scout friend of hers. With 700,000 fans on the platform, Honey Boo Boo has easily received pretty massive orders.

This situation apparently made the Girl Scout worried as this selling method, according to them, is against the whole purpose of selling the cookies and considered unfair to other Girl Scouts trying to sell the cookies. As the result, their representative in Georgia immediately contacted Honey Boo Boo's site administrator to shut down the campaign.
