2 Chainz Arrested in Maryland on Drug Charges

The Playaz Circle rhymer was pulled over by police while on his way to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore to perform at an event.

was taken into police custody Thursday night, February 14 while in Maryland where he's scheduled to perform at a college event. The rapper was busted on drug charges while on his way to the University of Maryland Eastern Shore with six people in his entourage.

The Maryland State Police pulled over his white van for speeding near Easton. He and his people allegedly went 79 mph in a 55 mph zone. The cops smelled marijuana in the van and arrested him, but not the others, after finding a grinder and traces of marijuana in a backpack he said he owned.

The rapper was cited and was later released, but not before taking a picture with the cops. "Locked me up and then Wanted pictures smh," he wrote a caption on his Instagram picture showing him all smiles as he's sandwiched by two officers. If he's upset, he didn't really show it in the picture.

"UMES we on the way , dam police f**kn wit a nigga , we fina turnUP," he ranted though. "We to jail for a grinder??? REALLY??? I work hard and pray even harder , we gone always b good yall....Not to mention my security said it was his and they said , he don't smoke ,, how da f*k u know? Haha wut a valentines day!!!"
