AceShowbiz - A brand new trailer for "Oz: the Great and Powerful" has been dropped online, giving more look at James Franco's magical adventure in the famed fantasy world created by L. Frank Baum. Franco is seen riding in a bubble across vividly-colored valley before landing safely in front of the Oz people.

Receiving warm welcome from the enthusiastic locals, Franco proudly introduces himself, "Good people of Oz, your wizard is here." The rest of the trailer is jam-packed with colorful scenes of the Oz world as it faces an evil force that wreaks havoc in the land. A blink-and-you-miss-it peek at the major villain is also teased in the video.

"Oz: The Great and Powerful" imagines the origins of Baum's beloved character, the Wizard of Oz. When Oscar Diggs (Franco), a small-time circus magician with dubious ethics, is hurled away from dusty Kansas to the vibrant Land of Oz, he thinks he's hit the jackpot-fame and fortune are his for the taking.

That is until he meets three witches, Theodora (Mila Kunis), Evanora (Rachel Weisz) and Glinda (Michelle Williams), who are not convinced he is the great wizard everyone's been expecting. Reluctantly drawn into the epic problems facing the Land of Oz and its inhabitants, Oscar must find out who is good and who is evil before it is too late.

Putting his magical arts to use through illusion, ingenuity-and even a bit of wizardry-Oscar transforms himself not only into the great and powerful Wizard of Oz but into a better man as well.

Sam Raimi tackles the helming duty with the script provided by Mitchell Kapner. The fantasy movie is set to arrive in theaters Stateside on March 8.
