AceShowbiz - As predicted by industry insiders, Justin Bieber's "Believe Acoustic" debuts at the top of the Billboard 200 chart. With a total of 211,000 copies sold in its first week run as tallied by Nielsen SoundScan, it gives Bieber his fifth Billboard no. 1 album, becoming the first artist to accomplish the feat in his teens, with less than a month before he turns 19.
With his newest no. 1 album, Bieber edges out Miley Cyrus, who had accumulated four no. 1 albums before she entered her twenties last year. "Believe Acoustic" becomes his fifth no. 1 album in four consecutive years, entering the list that began with "My World 2.0" (2010), followed by "Never Say Never - The Remixes" (2011), "Under the Mistletoe" (2011) and "Believe" (2012).
Three other acts also debut in the top 10 this week along with Bieber, cornering the first four spots. Italian tenor Andrea Bocelli scores his seventh top 10 album with "Passione", settling for the runner-up spot with 94,000 units. Although he has yet to land his first ever Billboard 200 no. 1 album, with his latest album's Spanish version, Bocelli rises to the top of the Latin albums chart.
The alternative pop/rock duo of Tegan and Sara makes it to no. 3 with "Heartthrob", selling a career-high 49,000 copies. It's enough to land them at the top of the Rock Albums chart this week. R'n'B crooner Charlie Wilson enters the chart at no. 4, moving 44,000 records of "Love, Charlie" that puts him at the top spot in the R'n'B/Hip-Hop albums chart.
Other mainstays in the top 10 this week are "Pitch Perfect" soundtrack album which drops two places from no.3 to 5 with 37,000. It just slightly edges out Bruno Mars' "Unorthodox Jukebox" which registers a little under 37,000. "Unorthodox Jukebox" is the only album in the top ten this week to improve its previous ranking, moving up two places from no. 8 to 6, perhaps due partially to the recent release of his track "When I Was Your Man".
At no. 7 is "Babel" by Mumford & Sons with 36,000, followed by last week's no. 1, Gary Allan's "Set You Free" which is down by a whopping 68|percent| with only 34,000. Another big decline was posted by The Lumineers, their self-titled album dropping from no. 2 to 9, selling only 32,000 this week. Taylor Swift holds on to the last spot with the 29,000 units of "Red".
