'The Bachelor' Recap: Tierra Plays Meltdown Trick, Amanda Hits the Ground
TV

Tierra gets a rose after threatening to walk out of the show, while Amanda gets dumped after falling while roller skating in a group date.

AceShowbiz - Tierra and Amanda played the sympathy card in the latest episode of "The Bachelor", but it only worked for one of them. Both girls took part in a group date in the January 28 outing of the dating show, joined by Lindsay, Robyn, Jackie, Catherine, AshLee and Sarah.

The date was set up to be a roller derby, but Sean Lowe canceled it and changed it into free skate party since most of the girls kept falling down. Sarah clearly didn't have a good balance and she was embarassed. "At moments like this I just want to be normal," the one-armed girl cried.

Amanda bragged that she did roller derby before, but she then smacked her jaw on the ground. She was taken to a hospital to receive medical attention, but managed to return just in time for a night outing.

Amanda took Sean aside for some alone time, during which she got a kiss on the jaw. "Luckily I wasn't hurt too badly, but I love the sympathy card," she told the camera. "I play dirty...I'm going to milk the heck out of this."

Tierra later had a meltdown, saying that she "just can't do it at all" and was ready to leave. She stopped Sean when he's about to get into a hot tub with Lindsay. "I sit every day wondering how much time I'm going to get with you ... It's torture, seriously torture. It's hard seeing you go with other girls," Tierra said while sobbing.

The trick proved to be successful as Sean gave her a rose in the group date. "You have to be strong, you have to be aggressive and take the girls down," she said later. "I'm not going to let any girl stop me from being with Sean."

Prior to the group date, Sean took Selma to a desert for a one-on-one date. They would do rock climbing, but she's afraid of heights. Selma, however, managed to overcome her fear and beat Sean to the top of the rocks.

Later in the night, Selma said she couldn't kiss Sean. She explained that she was born in Baghdad as a Muslim and was raised in a "very, very, conservative, strict" family. "To kiss somebody on national television, I think my mom would literally have a heart attack!" she added. Sean respected that and gave her a rose. "I'm crazy about you," he told her and kissed the top of her head.

Leslie H. got the last date card in the episode, complete with diamond earrings which made her feel like in the movie "Pretty Woman". They went to Beverly Hills for shopping spree and had fun trying on clothes and shoes in the boutiques.

Sean later said Leslie's "gorgeous" and she's a "joy to be around," but he's not feeling the "romantic connection." He went on reasoning, "I never felt like it clicked," and telling Leslie that he couldn't give a rose to her.

She returned a diamond necklace which they loaned from jeweler Neil Lane before walking out. She also warned him, "Just watch out for some of the girls. They're not here for the right reasons... I want you to find your wife."

At the cocktail party, AshLee, Robyn and Catherine took turn to have a private moment with Sean and they kissed. Tierra apologized for her drama, but then told the camera that the apology was "fake." She also managed to make Sean believe that "she has a good heart" and "she's here for the right reasons."

Sean later handed out roses to Catherine, Desiree, Lindsay, Lesley, Robyn, AshLee, Sarah, Jackie and Daniella at the rose ceremony, meaning that Amanda had to mend a broken heart in addition to her injured jaw. "I feel really rejected and it hurts. Heartbreak is such a difficult emotion," she confessed.

Next week, "The Bachelor" will return for a two-day event on Monday and Tuesday.
