Kanye West Leads Line-Up of 2013 Governors Ball

The hip-hop superstar and boyfriend of Kim Kardashian will headline the summer fest along with Kings of Leon.

AceShowbiz - In a video announcement released on January 22, the line-up to this year's Governors Ball Music Festival in Randall's Island, New York City was revealed. Hip-hop superstar Kanye West leads the list of performers for the June 7-9 music fest, headlining the event with Grammy-winning rock band Kings of Leon and another still-to-be-announced musical act.

Other top acts set to perform are folk rock band The Lumineers, rapper Kendrick Lamar, hip-hop diva Azealia Banks, neo-soul artist Miguel, British indie rock quartet alt-J, rapper Nas, English indie rock band The Vaccines and Grammy Award-winning singer-songwriter Erykah Badu.

The complete line-up was unveiled in the three-minute plus clip, as two guys dressed in their tuxedos went around the city practically throwing out cash to onlookers and bystanders. The long list included Pretty Lights, The Avett Brothers, Grizzly Bear, The XX, Cut Copy, Beach House, Animal Collective, Edward Sharpe and the Magnetic Zeroes, Young the Giant, Feist, Thievery Corporation, Bloc Party, Beirut, Of Monsters and Men, Death from Above 1979, Crystal Castles, Yeasayer, Local Natives and Gary Clarke Jr.

Best Coast, Dirty Projectors, Portugal the Man, Dinosaur Jr., Holy Ghost!, Divine Fits, Twin Shadow, Japandroids, Deerhunter, Polica, Steel Pulse, Dillon Francis, Totally Enormous Extinct Dinosaurs, Paper Diamond, F*cked Up, Wild Nothing, Icona Pop, The Knocks, MS MR, St. Lucia, Freddie Gibbs, Robert Delong, Griz, Solid Gold, Haim, Bear Mountain, Pacific Air, Cherub, Swear & Shake, Moon Hooch, Roadkill Ghost Choir, Ruby Velle & The Soulphonics, On An On, and Reignwolf will all be featured as well.
