'Cult' New Promo Teases Creepy Obsession

Dark footage is mixed with voices hinting at terror in the video, which culminates with a scene of a man pulling a gun on himself.

The CW has released a new promo for its newbie "", highlighting the show's dark tone. The video is filled with creepy imagery of strange obsession, while voices of people who seem to be in fear are heard throughout the clip. Toward the end of it, a man is seen pulling a gun on his head, while another guy is holding a knife.

To premiere Tuesday, February 19 at 9 P.M. ET, "Cult" follows investigative journalist Jeff Sefton who searches for his missing brother. In the process, he uncovers the dark underworld of the TV show "Cult" and its rabid fans.

The only person who seems willing to help Jeff with his investigation is Skye, a young research assistant for "Cult", who has also started to grow suspicious of the increasingly dark happenings surrounding the show. As Jeff and Skye dig deeper into the fan world, they discover that the gruesome plot twists on television are much more than fantasy for some very unfortunate people.

Matt Davis stars as Jeff, with taking the role of Skye. Alona Tal and also join the cast ensemble of the thriller series, which is created by "Alien Nation" (1988) scribe Rockne S. O'Bannon.
