Report: 'Les Miserables' Cast to Deliver Musical Performance at Oscars

Report: 'Les Miserables' Cast to Deliver Musical Performance at Oscars

While it hasn't been officially announced, it seems that the 2013 Academy Awards has found who are going to do the live musical performance on its stage. A report on U.K.'s Daily Mail suggests that the "" cast members are set to sing live during the world's most prestigious film awards event this coming February 24.

The tabloid shares the word that , who's currently in a touring production of "Oliver!", will be given permission to leave the tour so she can perform at the Oscars alongside her "Les Mis" co-stars. It is, however, noted that they haven't picked which song should be performed during the highly-anticipated night.

According to the report, Barks will join Best Actor nominee , Best Supporting Actress nominee , and for the performance. They are considering to sing the classic play's hit numbers, "One Day More" or "Do You Hear the People Sing".

Another idea, which is being discussed at the moment, is to deliver a medley with Hathaway singing an excerpt of "I Dreamed a Dream", Barks delivering "On My Own", and Jackman performing "Who Am I" or "Bring Him Home". Nothing has been confirmed for now, and no official statement from the Academy has been released regarding the report.

Another musical performer considered for the night is , who is expected to deliver the Golden Globe-winning original soundtrack for "". It is still unclear whether the British singer will take the stage for a stand-alone performance or as a part of the Academy's tribute to the 50 years of the James Bond film series.

The highly-anticipated awards show will be held at the Dolby Theatre in Hollywood & Highland Center with serving as the host. It will be broadcast live on the ABC Television Network in more than 225 countries.
