'Lincoln' Leads Oscar Nominees With 12 Nods at 2013 Academy Awards

Nominees for the upcoming 85th annual Academy Awards have been announced early Thursday morning, January 10 at the Samuel Goldwyn Theater in Beverly Hills, California, by Oscars host and actress . "" leads the list with a total of 12 nominations including Best Picture, Best Cinematography, Best Adapted Screen and Best Costume Design.

In Best Picture, the movie is facing off "", "", "", "", "", "", "", "" and "". It has to beat "", "", "Django Unchained" and "" to win Best Cinematography.

The movie about the 16th President of the United States joins the battle of Best Adapted Screenplay along with "Silver Linings "Argo", "Life of Pi" and "Beasts of the Southern Wild". It, meanwhile, goes head-tohead with "Anna Karenina", "Les Miserables", "" and "" in Best Costume Design.

Furthermore, its helmer Steven Spielberg is vying for Best Director along with David O. Russell ("Silver Linings Playbook"), Ang Lee ("Life of Pi"), Michael Haneke ("Amour") and Benh Zeitlin ("Beasts of the Southern Wild").
