The former 'The Rosie Show' host admits she's 'very interested in doing 'America's Got Talent' with Howard Stern.'

AceShowbiz - Rosie O'Donnell could be the new judge on "America's Got Talent". Following Sharon Osbourne's exit, the show has been looking for her replacement and the actress/comedian recently revealed that she's in talks with the producers.

"Next year there are some things on the horizon," she told The Observer when met last week. "I am very interested in doing 'America's Got Talent' with Howard Stern and I am talking to them. Let's see how that works."

On what kind of judge she would be, the former host of OWN's "The Rosie Show" shared, "I think I'd probably be nicer than most but I think I'd be honest. I think he [Stern] is a genius, so to work with him would be a thrill for me."

Sharon Osbourne exited "AGT" at the end of the seventh season due to a disagreement with NBC, which she accused of discriminating her son Jack Osbourne. Howard Stern, who has signed up to return for the next season, reportedly wants to work with O'Donnell on the talent competition.

"Rosie and Howard have had a tough past but now they are great friends," a so-called friend of the shock jock told The Huffington Post. "He thinks she is a great talent and will bring a new energy to that show."

A network insider also gushed, "NBC wants to keep Howard happy, and the chemistry between the judges is what makes the show a huge success. Just think what Rosie did when she joined 'The View' - suddenly the show became must-see TV again. At the moment, a list of names exists, but if it were solely up to Howard, Rosie would get the job."

It hasn't been announced whether Howie Mandel will return for the new season or not.
