The teaser warns this could be 'the last winter of humankind' as snow can be a terrible weapon on the wrong hand.

AceShowbiz - Getting closer to Christmas Day, "Doctor Who" is promoting its Christmas special by unleashing another preview. The promo video has new scenes showing strange things that happen during a winter in 1892.

As Madame Vastra warns that snow can be a terrible weapon on the wrong hand, a voiceover says in the clip, "Winter is coming, the last winter of humankind." When a fairytale becomes a nightmare and a chilling menace threatens Earth, an unorthodox young governess, Clara, calls on the Doctor for help.

The Doctor, however, is in mourning, reclusive and determined not to engage in the problems of the universe. As old friends return, will the Doctor really abandon humankind or will he fight to save the world and Christmas from the icy clutches of this mysterious menace?

"Doctor Who: The Snowmen" will premiere Tuesday, December 25 at 9/8c on BBC America. Neve McIntosh returns as Madame Vastra, with Catrin Stewart and Dan Starkey reprising their roles as Jenny Flint and Commander Strax respectively. Richard E. Grant also stars as the sinister Doctor Simeon, while Sir Ian McKellen voices the titular Snowmen.
