While admitting he might be interested in helming a 007 film, Hooper is not sure about directing a comic book movie though saying he's had 'a kind of epic filmmaker hidden' within him.

After helming critically-acclaimed movies like "" and "", Tom Hooper admits that he's interested in directing a James Bond pic in the future. The English filmmaker opens up to Collider that serving behind the lens for a big franchise like 007 will be an honor for him.

"Oh I'd certainly be willing to talk about it," Hooper tells the site. "The 10-year-old in me would think there's probably no higher honor than talking about that... I think [Bond producers] Barbara Broccoli and Michael [G. Wilson] are making some really interesting choices about who they use at the moment, so I think they've reinvigorated that franchise in a brilliant way."

Asked if he'd be interested in directing a comic book or superhero movie, the London-born filmmaker responds, "I suppose I've always felt like I've had a kind of epic filmmaker hidden within me trying to get out, and 'John Adams' was my first opportunity to sort of paint a world on a much bigger canvas which I felt very grateful for."

"But in the end there is something in a comic book drama that you get to build a world from the ground up and follow a vision through physically, which I think is exciting," he continues, before stating, "I don't know, we'll have to see."

Hooper has once again received a stream of praises thanks to his latest work in "Les Miserables". After introducing the star-studded movie in New York last week, he was praised for presenting the best musical film since "Chicago" which won an Oscar for Best Picture.

"Les Miserables" itself will make its way out onto theaters across the U.S. on December 25. Building the anticipation of the film's release, Universal Pictures unveils a new clip for the film which sees showing off his vocal chops as Javert. He is seen releasing 's Jean Valjean from prison.

The much-talked-about musical focuses on ex-prisoner Valjean (Jackman) who is hunted for decades by the ruthless policeman Javert (Crowe) after he breaks parole. When Valjen agrees to care for factory worker Fantine's () young daughter Cosette (), their lives change forever.
