Seth MacFarlane to Guest Voice in Season Premiere of 'The Simpsons'

The 'Family Guy' creator will voice a married man who becomes love-stricken with Marge Simpson as they create a bond over their love of a TV show.

Comedian and "" creator, , is set to do a guest voice appearance in the long-running animated hit "". MacFarlane will voice a married man who falls in love with Marge Simpson as they share a common interest over a TV show called "Upton Rectory". The episode titled "Dangers on a Train" is the show's 25th season premiere in 2013.

MacFarlane's guest voice stint is a welcome turn of events for the actor, writer, and director. The two animated shows both air on Fox, and "Family Guy" has already featured , the voice of Homer Simpson, in a recent episode.

"Simpsons" executive producer, Al Jean, told Entertainment Weekly, "We thought we had a great part that he'd be perfect for, and it would be great to have him on our show, so it worked out just right. This was all very fun,' said Jean about the MacFarlane guesting.

In the "Dangers on a Train" episode, Marge accidentally lands on a website for married people to arrange their affairs. She meets Ben, voiced by MacFarlane, who then pursues her as they share their common love for a ""-ish series, "Upton Rectory". "A lot of him trying to go after her is over the phone, so it's a perfect part for someone with his voice," explained Jean.

Thirty nine-year-old MacFarlane also co-creates and does voices for "" and "". He has also lent his voice to another Matt Groening series, "" back in 2009.

The multi-talented writer and director also had a recent directorial debut hit titled "". The movie was an R-rated comedy, which starred and . It told the story of boy who got his wish for his Teddy bear to come to life. MacFarlane is also set to host the Oscars in February.
