Larry Hagman to Be Remembered in Memorial Services in Dallas and Los Angeles

The late 'Dallas' actor is going to be remembered in private services by family and friends, and he will be saluted by the Southfork Ranch in Dallas.

The life and legacy of "" veteran actor Larry Hagman will be celebrated in both private and public memorial services. The actor well known for his villainous character of cunning oil baron J.R. Ewing died at 81 due to complications from his recent battle against cancer.

The late star will be remembered in invitation-only services in Dallas and Los Angeles, his personal manager John Castonia confirms without detailing the upcoming events. He is also going to be saluted on December 2 at the Southfork Ranch in Dallas.

Southfork, which becomes the home of his "Dallas" character, will offer complimentary tours of the ranch during the special event. It will be followed by a memorial reception where the guests will be able to pay their final respects to the "I Dream of Jeannie" actor.

"Dallas", which is rebooted by TNT, will also give a proper send-off to Larry later this season. In the meantime, the network has paid honor to the late actor in a tribute video that featured his images from the TV series.

"All of us at TNT are deeply saddened at the news of Larry Hagman's passing. He was a wonderful human being and an extremely gifted actor. We will be forever thankful that a whole new generation of people got to know and appreciate Larry through his performance as J.R. Ewing. Our thoughts and prayers are with his family at this very difficult time," a rep said.

Larry's co-stars Linda Gray and Patrick Duffy, who played his on-screen wife Sue Ellen and on-screen brother Bobby respectively, reportedly were at his bedside when he passed away.
