Scotty McCreery to Join Mariah Carey in Lighting Up Rockefeller Center

The 'American Idol' personalities are set to participate in the tree lighting ceremony on November 28 at Rockefeller Center in New York City.

AceShowbiz - "American Idol" season 10 winner, Scotty McCreery, will join newest "Idol" judge and diva, Mariah Carey, in lighting the famous Christmas Tree at Rockefeller Center in New York City. McCreery has just been added to a long list of entertainers appearing on the NBC television special, which airs on Wednesday, November 28 at 8-9 P.M. ET.

The two "Idol" personalities will make things brighter during the tree lighting ceremony alongside previously announced special guests such as "The Voice" mentor and record producer Cee-Lo Green, country crooner Trace Adkins, veteran singer Rod Stewart, singer-songwriter Victoria Justice, former "Voice" competitor Chris Mann, and Italian pop-opera trio Il Volo.

Other "Idol" winners who have helped make the Rockefeller tree lighting ceremony even more entertaining in the past years were season one winner Kelly Clarkson, season four winner and country favorite Carrie Underwood, season five runner-up Katharine McPhee, and season seven winner David Cook.

"Today" co-host Savannah Guthrie and weatherman Al Roker are set to host the much-awaited holiday event that also expects a visit from celebrities Billy Crystal and Bette Midler. "Christmas in Rockefeller Center" will also have a special one-hour pre-show broadcast from 7-8 P.M. ET.

Meanwhile, McCreery is promoting his latest CD, "Christmas with Scotty McCreery", and his own holiday TV special "Christmas with Scotty McCreery and Friends", which airs on December 1 on the Great American Country (GAC) network.
