First 'The Host' Full Trailer: Saoirse Ronan Rebels Against Aliens

Highlighting some action-packed sequences of humans against aliens called the Souls, the trailer also features some romantic scenes between Ronan and Max Irons.

Just a day after the premiere of "", another film adaptation of Stephenie Meyer's bestselling novel gets a highlight. This time around, it's "" which premieres its first full trailer that is jam-packed with action sequences in addition to showcasing plenty of romantic scenes.

plays Melanie, a stubborn young girl who insists to fight against alien called the Souls which invades her body. At one point, Melanie is seen fighting a group of the Souls and getting badly wounded after jumping off from a tall building. Her body, however, recovers very quickly thanks to her human power.

At the same time, Melanie's involved in a relationship with ' character. In many scenes, they are seen kissing passionately while also fighting together with the last remaining human beings to defeat the Souls.

As described in the Stephenie Meyer book, Melanie is one of the last humans who puts up a fight against the Souls. Those aliens take over human bodies while invading their consciousness and systematically erasing their personalities. Melanie herself is implanted by one of the Souls called Wanderer a.k.a Wanda.

As Wanda tries to get Melanie give up her remaining pockets of humans, she grows a strong unwillingness to surrender her consciousness. Overwhelmed by Melanie's memories and feelings, Wanda is driven to reconnect with the heroine's old life.

Directed and written by Andrew Niccol, "The Host" will arrive in the U.S. cinemas on March 29, 2013. , , Chandler Canterbury, , , and Stephen Rider are also lining up in the cast ensemble.

Ronan recently told MTV that she's pleased with the film after watching its early cut. "It's great to just see it all put together and see how it looks and how certain scenes turned out," she said. "There are some nice moments in there. I loved working with everyone on it but I really loved working with William Hurt just because he was a great leader really for all of us. He raised questions that some of us might not have if he wasn't there so it was lovely to see the scenes that we did together."
