Tom shows his support for his 'Dancing with the Stars' co-host who will undergo thyroid cancer treatment, saying, 'We're all right there with her.'

AceShowbiz - Tom Bergeron gets Brooke Burke's back in dealing with her thyroid cancer. Hours after the 41-year-old dancer revealed that she was diagnosed with the disease, Tom said in a Thursday, November 8 episode of "The Talk", "She knows my love and support are with [her]. We're all right there with her."

In fact, the "America's Funniest Home Videos" host has learned the disease for months. He said, "I've known about this for a few months, and I told her at the time she first told me that I've had experience with this in my family." Tom showed his optimism, adding, "You never want to hear the word 'cancer', but thyroid cancer is one of the most treatable cancers. It has an incredibly high success rate."

Earlier Thursday, Brooke posted a video on YouTube, revealing her disease, her feeling, and what she would do next. Wearing a gray T-shirt and comfy leggings, she opened up, "I got my results back and they were not good." She continued, "I need to have thyroid surgery and a thyroidectomy, which means I'm going to have a nice big scar right here across my neck," while pointing to her neck.

"I don't get to just walk around and pretend like nothing happened or not follow up or not share it, because it's going to be pretty much dead center," the "Rock Star" hostess added. "I don't want anybody to read about it and get the wrong idea, or think that I'm sick, because I'm not."

"I never ever ever thought I was going to get that phone call with bad news," she went on sharing. She said that she needed a few months to calm herself. Now, she is ready to deal with the sickness. "I'm going to be fine," she said with a smile.

"I am going to be a really good patient and I am going to do everything I need to do," Brooke promised. The hostess also said that she would "make a positive out of this negative thing."

The winner of "Dancing with the Stars" season 7 revealed, "Doctors say this is a good kind of cancer to have. Good cancer... that sounds so crazy! But my doctor did tell me that this is a happily-ever-after kind of thing."

Brooke has since received outpouring support from her fans. Thanking people for the well wishes, she tweeted, "I'm feeling the love today from friends, family, #DWTS, tweeties, fans. You warm my heart. I'm feeling good Thank you from down deep xoxo."

Later, she added, "I was scared to get on twitter and hear what people are saying.....now I can breathe easy. Thank you for the support." She said in another tweet, "Sharing the news is freeing but scary too. Cancer sounds awful, but I'm doing everything necessary & I feel positive."
