Along with Christopher Lambert, Sturgess has been photographed in downton Los Angeles while filming a scene for the based-on-true-story crime drama.

AceShowbiz - How Jim Sturgess will look like as the New York Yankees Bandit, Eddie Dodson, in "Electric Slide" has been unveiled in some photos taken from the set of the crime drama. On Monday, November 5, Sturgess was snapped filming in downtown Los Angeles along with co-star Christopher Lambert.

The British actor/singer-songwriter was caught on camera sporting his signature mustache while donning a long-sleeved pink shirt that he paired with an eye-catching cyan tie. He finished off his look with dark blue trousers. Lambert, meanwhile, was spotted looking more formal in a dark vest and blue shirt that he paired with tinted glasses.

"Electric Slide" is based on the true story of a famed Los Angeles furniture store owner called Eddie Dodson who robbed a bank to impress his new girlfriend. The handsome and charismatic Dodson went on to rob more than 72 banks in just a matter of months, and earned himself the nickname The Gentleman Bandit after often charming bank tellers into emptying their cash draws.

Tristan Patterson writes and directs the movie, which still hasn't got a release date. Isabel Lucas, Patricia Arquette and Chloe Sevigny are also lining up in the cast ensemble. The project was announced recently by Myriad Pictures CEO Kirk D'Amico, who also serves as one of the producers.

"'Electric Slide' is, first and foremost, an amazing story," he said in late October. "It's just unbelievable the way this charismatic character was able to rob bank after bank and always slipping away with his girlfriend a la Bonnie and Clyde before getting caught. We love Tristan's script and his vision for this story inspired by true events from LA in the 80's. We are fortunate to have Jim Sturgess and Isabel Lucas star and to have such an amazing supporting cast."
