Causes of delay for the Harlem rapper's new album launch include production and mastering process issues.

AceShowbiz - Avid followers of hip hop star, A$AP Rocky, will have to sit it out longer while waiting for the release of his new record, "LongLiveA$AP". The date has been moved to early 2013, following some issues with the record's clearing and mastering process. The LP was originally scheduled for a September 11 launch, but was then pushed to October 31, and finally this recent announcement.

In an interview, the New York-born rapper and music video director, explains that a lot of the materials in "LongLive" are taking too much time to clear and finding the right people to do the task takes a long time. The rapper is also very hands-on and works closely to decide what tracks that will make the final cut.

"The issue with my album is I got things on it that's so out of this world that it's taking so long to get mastered. That's the issue, and I refuse to take anything off. It's complete, everything is being mastered and cleared right now," he says.

"It's just so hard to get things cleared, because you got to find people to clear samples. It takes a long time and that's why it keeps getting pushed back from Halloween to September 11th. I want to say it's looking like top of the year, first quarter because it makes no sense to put out a album in December," explains the hip hop artist.

"LongLiveA$AP" is Rocky's major label debut album and is under A$AP Worldwide, Polo Grounds Music and RCA Records (Sony Music Entertainment)
