Amid the buzzing news of the investigation of Jimmy Savile's child sexual abuse, a video of the late presenter allegedly groping a young girl on a live TV has surfaced on the Internet. The footage was taken in 1976 when he hosted BBC's music program "Top of the Pops".

Jimmy, who died in October 2011 at the age of 84, was surrounded by young girls while introducing the next music act. A woman sitting next to him suddenly shrieked, jumped off her seat and tried to make a room in the crowded space to wiggle away from him.

The host looked unfazed and continued smiling and talking to the camera. "I tell you something, a fella could get used to this, as it happens, he really could get used to it," he said. A woman standing in front him seemed to adjust her dress at least twice when it rode up during the ruckus.

"I felt his fingers go towards my bottom. It was disgusting," the alleged victim Sylvia Edwards told The Sun. The woman, who's 55 years old now, added, "I felt his hand go up my skirt. I leapt off my chair in shock. I was so surprised I cried out and didn't know how to deal with it."

"But he just laughed and carried on mauling me while talking to the camera. I panicked and tried to move away from him but it was so crowded I couldn't escape. When I tried to sit down his hand was still there and went for my bottom again," the mother of two continued.

Sylvia claimed she reported the alleged incident to a BBC floor manager, but she was dismissed. The manager reportedly told her that it was "just Jimmy messing about." She now plans to join other 300 alleged victims who have filed police complaints about sexual assaults by Jimmy.

Musician Gary Glitter was the first person arrested in the Operation Yewtree run by police to follow up the complaints. More people might follow him as suspects as police said in a statement, "The individual falls under the strand of the investigation we have termed 'Savile and others'."

It was claimed that bosses at the BBC knew about the allegations but kept quiet. BBC has expressed their disappointment in the scandal, saying on Sunday that the broadcaster's reputation was on the line. They promised to get to the bottom of the case.
