Minaj and Swift will join Linkin Park and previously announced performer Christina Aguilera for the Los Angeles show on November 18.

AceShowbiz - There will be a good mix of country and rock at this year's American Music Awards as Taylor Swift, Nicki Minaj, and the band Linkin Park are all set to take on the stage as featured performers for the show. The announcement was made Wednesday, October 25 by the show organizers and all three acts are also up for nominations.

Minaj, who is also known for her outrageous wigs and outlandish costumes, leads the pack with most nominations for the night, tied up with Rihanna. They have four nominations each including Favorite Female Pop-Rock Artist. Swift is nominated for Favorite Female Country Artist, while Linkin Park is hoping to bag the Alternative Rock Award.

Other nominees are Maroon 5, Justin Bieber, Katy Perry, Drake and Rihanna for Artist of the Year, while Gotye, J. Cole, Carly Rae Jepsen, One Direction, and Fun. are all vying for the New Artist of the Year trophy. This year, organizers have added the Electronic Dance Music category as a response to the genre's popularity. The nominees are David Guetta, Calvin Harris and Skrillex.

The American Music Awards is on its 40th year and will have a live broadcast on November 18, 8:00 PM (ET/PT) on ABC. The red carpet pre-show, "Coca-Cola Red Carpet LIVE! @ The 2012 AMAs", will stream live for fans worldwide starting at 5:00 PM ET/ 2:00 PM PT. Lance Bass, Kimberly Cole, Brad Goreski, Sean Kingston, Tristan Wilds and Andy Grammer are all slated as the red carpet hosts for the much-awaited annual musical event.
