First Photo of Emma Watson in Costume on 'Noah' Set
Movie

Watson is seen clad in full costume as Ila when arriving on the set in Brookville, New York, joined by Russell Crowe, Jennifer Conelly and Douglas Booth.

AceShowbiz - Emma Watson has been photographed for the first time on the set of Darren Aronofsky's highly-anticipated bibilical film "Noah". Hitting the set in Brookville, New York on Wednesday, October 17, the British beauty was snapped in full costume as Ila.

The Hermione Granger of the "Harry Potter" film series was photographed rocking a pair of brown leather boots that matched her brown trousers. She rocked an extention to her brown hair and side braided it a la Katniss Everdeen.

Also spotted on the set were Jennifer Connelly, Russell Crowe and Douglas Booth. Donning a hoodie and leather boots, Connelly wouldn't unveil the entire costume as she was spotted covering herself in an overcoat. Crowe and Booth, meanwhile, were spotted sporting bearded faces in addition to wearing scruffy outfits.

In "Noah", Crowe tackles the part of the devoted ark builder, while Connelly plays his wife Naameh. Booth stars as Noah's eldest son Shem, and Watson portrays his wife Ila. The movie is also supported by Logan Lerman and Leo McHugh Carroll as the prophet's other sons Ham and Japheth respectively, Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah, and Kevin Durand as angle Og.

Director Arronofsky once explained that his version of Noah would be different from the mainstream portrayal of the prophet. The "Black Swan" helmer saw the ark builder as "the first person to plant vineyards, drink wine and get drunk."

He added, "I was stunned going back and realizing how dirty some of those stories are. They're not PG in any way. They're all about sleeping with your brother's sister who gives you a child who you don't know. That kind of stuff got censored out of our religious upbringing."

"Noah" is projected to arrive in the U.S. cinemas on March 28, 2014.
