The 'Twilight Saga' actor is set to take a supporting role of a lover of a money-hungry woman who kidnaps and buries a rich man alive in hopes to secure a ransom.

AceShowbiz - "The Twilight Saga's Breaking Dawn Part II" hasn't even played in cinemas anywhere, but its lead actor Robert Pattinson already collects another new project post-"Twilight Saga". After landing several gritty roles in some upcoming films recently, the British heartthrob signs a deal to star in a true story movie called "Hold on to Me", Deadline reports.

The "Cosmopolis" actor is set to star opposite Carey Mulligan in the new movie, which has Oscar winner James Marsh serving as the director. The story follows a femme fatale who, along with her boyfriend, kidnaps the richest man of a town in hopes to get a ransom. They bury the man alive in a box, but then their plans go horribly awry.

Pattinson is tapped to tackle a supporting role of the greedy woman's life love Jimmy, who is actually not involved in the murder. Mulligan will likely take the femme fatale role. The screenplay, meanwhile, will be penned by Brad Ingelsby. Serving as the producers are Alexandra Milchan, Steven Rales, Mark Roybal, Michael Pruss and Todd Field.

Pattison will soon be seen in "Breaking Dawn II", which will open Stateside on November 16. He has recently starred in "Bel Ami" and "Cosmopolis", and has also been attached to star opposite Guy Pearce in "The Rover" as well as join Saddam Hussein hunt movie "Mission Blacklist".
