The 'School's Out' hitmaker says music is the answer to keep kids from the worst part of the town and explore their talent.

AceShowbiz - Alice Cooper dropped by Sioux Falls, South Dakota on Wednesday, October 10 to help his friend, Chuck Brennan, launch a Rock and Roll Academy. The facility is opened for local Boys & Girls Club members and gives them an opportunity to learn how to sing or play music instruments.

The 64-year-old rocker believes that music is a great way to keep youngsters out of trouble and turn any negative energy into a positive one. "Guns, gangs and drugs are in every single city now, and teenagers are the target. So, music is the answer I think," he gushes.

Learning music at a very young age is very beneficial, so he says. "Kids are like sponges, they come in here, they learn 2 or 3 chords and pretty soon they're writing their own songs, so just give them a chance to be creative and they'll be creative," he explains.

In the Brennan academy, the kids will have access to rehearsal rooms, a performance area and a recording studio. Some of the instruments available during the music lesson include a few high-end drum sets from Warrant's guitarist Joey Allen and guitars from KISS' members.
