Kanye West Dominates Winner List of 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards

Kanye pockets seven awards, his 'Watch the Throne' collaborator Jay-Z follows his domination with five prizes, and 2 Chainz trails behind them with four.

was a no-show at the 2012 BET Hip-Hop Awards on September 29, but he won big at the event. Out of the 17 nominations he got, the rap mogul received seven coveted awards for his "" collaboration with , his work as a producer, and his joint project with his G.O.O.D Music crew.

Kanye collected Track of the Year and Best Club Banger for "Ni**as in Paris" that featured the Hov. He also shared CD of the Year for his duet album "" with the Jiggaman, and Best Live Performer for their numerous joint performances. On top of that, he got Reese's Perfect Combo for his G.O.O.D Music song "Mercy".

Kanye additionally bagged two solo gongs, Producer of the Year and Made-You-Look Award (Best Hip-Hop Style). Jay-Z, meanwhile, added one more trophy to his collection by taking home Hustler of the Year title. He was unfortunately absent from the show as well.

The show was taped at Atlanta Civic Center with as a host. Musical guests included , , , and . Another artist who won multiple prizes was Rookie of the Year, .
