First Sneak Peek at What's Inside the Ark of Darren Aronofsky's 'Noah'
Movie

The biblical film's director of photography tweets a photo that gives a look at a dark space inside Noah's vessel which is filled with numberless slithering snakes and a massive alligator.

AceShowbiz - Anyone who's been wondering what it looks like inside Prophet Noah's ark could now find the answer. A photo that gives an imagery of the inner part of the famous ark in Darren Aronofsky's biblical pic "Noah" has been shared online.

The picture sees a dark space inside the vessel. The place looks rather eerie since it is packed with countless of slithering snakes and a massive alligator. Two glowing objects are placed in the middle of that serpent-filled space.

The photo was tweeted by "Noah" director of photography Matthew Libatique. Along with the image, Libatique added a caption that read, "Pre lighting on the holiest day of the year," referring to Jewish holiday Yom Kippur that began at sundown on Tuesday, September 25.

"Noah" will be based on the Old Testament story about the devoted ark builder. Aronofsky, however, insisted that his version of Noah would not be the same as thought at Sunday school classes. He described the father of Shem, Ham and Japheth as "the first person to plant vineyards, drink wine and get drunk."

"I was stunned going back and realizing how dirty some of those stories are," the filmmaker added. "They're not PG in any way. They're all about sleeping with your brother's sister who gives you a child who you don't know. That kind of stuff got censored out of our religious upbringing."

Starring as the titular prophet is Russell Crowe. He is joined by Anthony Hopkins as Methuselah, Douglas Booth as Sem, Logan Lerman as Ham, Emma Watson as Ila, and Jennifer Connelly as Naameh. The film itself will make its way out onto the U.S. cinemas on March 28, 2014.
