The 'Good Morning America' host thanks for all the love she receives during the difficult journey of fighting myelodysplastic syndrome.

AceShowbiz - Robin Roberts posts a video message from hospital after undergoing bone marrow transplant following her myelodysplastic syndrome (MDS) diagnosis. She lets her fans know that she's recuperating well and thanks them for their outpouring support.

"This journey is as much about the mind as it is the body," Robin says. The "Good Morning America" host looks upbeat sitting on a hospital bed in a hoodie, sweatpants and a pink basketball cap while holding a cup of drink with a straw.

"Thoughts are so powerful," the 51-year-old TV anchor adds. "You've got to change the way you think in order to change the way you feel." She concludes her message, "And let me just say this lastly, I feel the love and I thank you for it. Thank you."

On Twitter, she posted, "JUST completed chemo. Today is day of rest - positive thoughts, words & deeds. How every day should be. Love YOU from bottom of my graeful (sic)." To Lady GaGa who wrote to her, "get well soon so we can sip wine out of teacups again," she replied, "Your timing's perfect, in final chemo now. Thinking of sipping wine w/you."

MDS formerly known as preleukemia is a rare blood disorder that affects the bone marrow as a result of the breast-cancer treatment Robin underwent years ago. She takes a break from "GMA" to undergo the transplant with her sister, Sally Ann Roberts, as a donor.

Before getting the transplant, Robin had a pre-treatment that included eight days of intense chemotherapy. The cancer survivor's doctor, Gail Roboz, said on "GMA" that she handled it quite well, "Medically speaking, she is doing fantastic."

"GMA" weather anchor Sam Champion, who came to a visit earlier this week, nodded, "She is in remarkable spirits." ABC News spokesman Jeffrey Schneider added, "Now, as expected, it is going to be a long waiting game, but we know Robin is going to beat this."

One thing that put Robin down was the fact that her mother Lucimarian Tolliver Roberts was not by her side. "I think she misses her mother," said Gail. The Roberts matriarch died one day after the host took her leave from "GMA" in late August.
