The Rob Thomas-fronted band's fourth studio album enters the Hot 200 chart at No. 1 with 95,000 copies sold.

AceShowbiz - Matchbox 20's latest studio album "North" debuts high on Billboard Hot 200. The September 4 release nabs the first place on the chart with 95,000 copies, marking the first chart-topping album for the alternative rock group.

Rob Thomas and co. previously were only able to peak at No. 3 with their second studio installment "Mad Season", which was released in 2000. It, however, sold much more than the fourth set in its first week by scanning 365,000 copies.

At No. 2, there is another new entry "Night Visions" by rock band Imagine Dragons which sold 83,000 copies. Following the success of fellow Christian artist TobyMac who bowed at No. 1 last week, Lecrae has his album "Gravity" entering the chart at No. 3 (72,000).

Compilation album "Now 43" still secures the fourth place with 35,000, dropping only 14|percent| from last week. Carrie Underwood's "Blown Away" climbs from No. 8 to No. 5 with additional 29,000 copies, while Maroon 5's "Overexposed" stays at No. 6 by scanning another 29,000 copies.

2 Chainz's "Based on a T.R.U. Story falls 2-7 with 26,000 (down 13|percent|), TobyMac's "Eye on It" also plunges to No. 8 with 26,000 (down 63|percent|), and Trey Songz's "Chapter V" slips 3-9 with 24,000. New release "Sun" by Cat Power rounds up the top 10 with 23,000.
