AceShowbiz - One day after news broke out that Blake Lively and Ryan Reynolds got married, details including what the bride and the groom wore at the special occasion emerged. "From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration," Martha Stewart Weddings gushed.
Blake, 25, walked down the aisle in a custom Marchesa gown designed by her friends, Georgina Chapman and Keren Craig, and Christian Louboutin shoes made specially for the nuptials. Ryan, 35, slipped into a specially-made Burberry suit with custom leather suspenders designed by his friend, Christopher Bailey.
The couple tied the knot in "an intimate, personalized party, gathering their immediate and extended family at a rustic barn in South Carolina." They exchanged wedding rings by Lorraine Schwartz. "From the heartfelt ceremony to the fun-filled carnival hour and elegant reception, it was a truly enchanting celebration," it's explained.
Ryan chose to get married in North Carolina because he's a big fan of the city. The wedding took place on Sunday night, September 9 at Boone Hall Plantation in Mt. Pleasant. Florence Welch of Florence and the Machine and Bette Midler reportedly performed.
Blake and Ryan were romantically linked after they starred together in 2011's "Green Lantern". It's the first marriage for her and the second for him. The "Gossip Girl" actress previously dated Penn Badgley and Leonardo DiCaprio, while the "X-Men Origins: Wolverine" actor was previously married to Scarlett Johansson.
Penn, who broke up with Blake in 2010, said he "couldn't be happier for her." "I actually didn't know until last night, but I think it's fantastic," the actor told PEOPLE after hearing about the wedding news. "I'm so happy for her. I think it's everything that it should be."
Ryan Lochte, who had a crush on Blake, said, "I just heard about [the wedding]. I didn't even know she had a boyfriend until someone told me after I said I had a crush on her." He continued, "That's great for them. I just want to congratulate them and wish them the best."
