'Hunger Games: Catching Fire' Finds Its District 3 Male Tribute

Stage and movie actor Jeffrey Wright is to tackle the character who is known for his skill in electricity.

AceShowbiz - "The Hunger Games: Catching Fire" continues its casting process with the recruitment of veteran actor Jeffrey Wright. The Lionsgate movie has picked Wright to play former tribute Beetee in the "The Hunger Games" sequel.

In the book by Suzanne Collins, Beetee is kind of a inventor who smartly uses wire as weapon, earning the nickname "Volts". He plays a significant role in the Quarter Quell which is the focus of the second movie. Beetee is paired to represent District 3 with Wiress, who will be played by veteran actress Amanda Plummer.

With the signing, Wright is up to reprise the role in the final installments, "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 1" and "The Hunger Games: Mockingjay Part 2".

Directed by Francis Lawrence, "Catching Fire" is due to start the production any day now in Atlanta. The pic will hit theaters November 22 next year.
