NBC schedules a third part of its singing competition premiere event on Wednesday, September 12, which is going to clash with 'The X Factor' season 2 premeire.

AceShowbiz - NBC is expanding "The Voice" season 3 premiere to a third night. The network has previously scheduled a two-hour blind auditions episode to air on Monday, September 10 at 8 P.M. and a hour-long installment for Tuesday, September 11 at 8 P.M.

The Peacock is now adding a third episode to air in the premiere week, on Wednesday, September 12 at 8 P.M. to be exact. Filling the spot of an "America's Got Talent" repeat, the episode will be up against the first hour of "The X Factor (US)" season 2 premiere on FOX.

Commenting on NBC's decision, "X Factor" creator Simon Cowell brands it "a cynical, cold-hearted, unprofessional way of doing business" and "nothing short of dirty tricks." He additionally tells TMZ, "The reason they've done this is they don't want people to see 'X Factor' because they've heard how good the series is. They don't want their audience to see Britney Spears. They don't want their audience to see Demi Lovato."

In addition to Christina, "The Voice" judges consist of Cee-Lo Green, Blake Shelton and Adam Levine. The new season will introduce some new twists, including the "Coach's Steal" which will allow each coach to take up to two contestants who have already been eliminated during the battle rounds and add them to their team. Producer Mark Burnett also unveiled there would be "Knockout Rounds", in which the teams will be narrowed down to just five members before they start the live episodes.

Country superstar Blake recently opened up how the changes would add more pressure to the competition. "There's nothing that's more nerve-wracking than knowing, 'OK, both these singers did really good and I gotta pick one and I know damn good and well one of these other three are gonna steal the person I don't pick'," he told Rolling Stone.

"There's a chance that person may go on and win this and that's gonna make me look really stupid. That definitely goes on in your mind. As an artist and somebody on television I have enough of an ego that I don't want to look that stupid. I want to look brilliant," he further shared.

FOX's "The X Factor", meanwhile, has Britney, Simon, Lovato and L.A. Reid in the judge line-up.
