The 'Springsteen' crooner has earned five nods mainly in the major categories such as Male Vocalist of the Year.

AceShowbiz - This could be Eric Church's night at the upcoming 46th Annual CMA Awards. During the Wednesday, September 5 announcement via "Good Morning America", it was revealed that the "Springsteen" singer has earned five nods including Male Vocalist of the Year and Album of the Year for "Chief".

Jason Aldean and Luke Bryan who announced the nominees for five major categories in New York City's Times Square also called their own names. Both of them are battling Church in Male Vocalist of the Year. Aldean is also vying for Entertainer of the Year against Blake Shelton, Taylor Swift, Brad Paisley and Kenny Chesney.

Swift, who is nominated for three this year, tweeted, "Woke up to the wonderful news, 3 CMA nominations! Entertainer, female, and so excited to be nominated with @thecivilwars for vocal event!!" Meanwhile, Kelly Clarkson who is nominated for Female Vocalist of the Year tweeted, "Yesterday-10 year anniversary of me winning Idol. Today-nominated in female vocalist category for the CMA's!! YEAH! I promise to earn that!!"

The rest of the nominees for this year's entry were revealed at B.B. King Blues Club & Grill later that day. The full nominees can be seen at the official site. The 46th Annual CMA Awards will air live Wednesday, November 1 at 8/7c on ABC.
